Default 2017 Q5 21" All-Season tire

I see that I am going to go through the exact same issues this winter that I went through last January when I purchased my Q7. I have now also purchased a new 2017 Q5 with 21" tires and I need some insight on when an all-season tire will be available.

The current tire is 255/40R21 and there is nothing out there.

On my Q7 I put the brand new Conti 295/40zr21DWS 06 all-season tires on it and was able to go up one size from the factory tires. Does anyone know if I can do that with the Q5 as well? I really want to use Conti tires again, I have loved them on my Q7.

Thanks for any thoughts!

We are not able to recommend an alternate tire size that has sufficient load capacity as well as an overall diameter that is within 3% of stock............

Thanks. I actually reached out to Continental Tire to see if they were going to make a DWS 06 in this size. I received the standard "we will look into it" response.

In your opinion is there any chance they will make it?

Once any of our vendors commit to manufacturing a "new" size, they will give us a good idea of pricing and production plans that are (on average) at least 6 months out. Since I do not have any part numbers (from any vendor), I'm betting on a long wait for anything to come along in your size.

Thanks for the information. That's disappointing to me, I love the DWS 06 on the Q7.

I went with 265/40 on OEM 21"s for my SQ5,got them installed this Monday and drove all through rain the next day.Performed excellent. No rubbing at all but I am looking to add spacers for aesthetics.
