Tires and brakes -- decisions made!
Thanks to all who offered advice. I decided to go with the new Yokohama AVS Sport in 225/50WR-16 from Tire Rack @ $156 ea. The supposed equal of the Bridgestone S-02 Pole Positions (with apologies to stanj) or Pirelli P-zeroes (sorry, Gary @ Ronal), 'cept cheaper.
Brake-wise, I went with Mr. Allison's slotted rotors and a set of Rofren pads from L.C. Distributors, Inc. at the catchey link below. Once I get the TAP Stage 1 chip/filter (I have a gift certificate), I'll be ready for the next club event. Of course, the driver remains the weak link....
-- David F.
98 A4 1.8TqMS
87 BMW 325is

Brakes, Brake Pads, etc.
