Tires to race on (have GS D3's but have problems)
I love my Goodyear GS D3's - I have been using them for a few years now with no complaints. However, I took my car (911) to the track for the first time last month and it trashed my left-rear (mostly right-handers on the track) so even though I have plenty of tread remaining, I have to replace both rears...and expensive track day! So, I am now looking for a good 'race' set that I can put on, but one that is streetable since I drive to the track and don't want to get/use a separate set of slicks or similar. I don't mind having to mount a different tire for track-day since I don't do it too often, but I need to find something that is great on the track (like the GS D3)...any ideas?

Ran my Falken Azenis RT-615's this last weekend for an Auto-X...AMAZING!
The event was held at a small roadcourse, so it wasn't exactly like being in a parking lot this time around. Times were between 60-65sec for the quicker cars running R-Comps...I was 61.6, with class win being 61.0 (Modded Integra on v710's)...so not too far off. Once back in the usual 600' x 300' lot we use normally, I think they've got enough grip to once again dominate my "prepared" class over the other's on DOT-R Compounds given the 30-40sec laps we usually do.
