Default Winter tires/ebay/ and a complete noob

So I know nothing about lug patterns or any of that jazz. I'm sure some of you do though. I have a 01' a4 with the sport package rims. I've been looking around for wheels and tires for winter and I stumbled across these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__4-Bridgestone-BLIZZAK-WS-50-Winter-Tires-on-MIGLIA-Rims_W0QQitemZ300271358778QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20Acce ssoriesQQadiZ2865QQddiZ2811QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20Truck Q20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQcmdZViewItemQQptZMot ors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item300271358 778&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A5 43%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

So I know my audi has five lugs so will these fit?

Default They will not fit (more info inside)

Most 5 bolt Audis are 5x112 bolt pattern.

Older TTs are 5x100.

The other thing is the center bore size needs to be correct. This is usually not a problem for aftermarket wheels as you can usually get different centering rings so they'll fit the Audi.

lame, but thanks for the help. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a decent set of winter wheels for around 600 dollars? I have to commute 65 miles round trip five days a week through some nasty Vermont roads, but I don't have tons of disposable cash.

What car do you drive, and are the brakes upgraded from stock sized rotor?

Default and offset. And spoke shape. and....

You really need to understand all the dimensions and what they mean w/r/t your car. Otherwise, you need to buy based on explicit guarantess that they fit and are the right dimensions. Many unscrupulous people will sell wheels that "fit" but have the wrong offset. Maybe they are just ignorant. Neither is good.
