Audi Connect delivers travel information, traffic updates, weather reports, local fuel prices and other popular driving and destination information directly to the display screen in your Audi. Powered by Google Earth, the program offers up-to-the-minute information that is both accurate and complete. And thanks to an online account, which you can set up by visiting MyAudiConnect.com, you can even send destination information through your desktop directly to your Audi. As new updates become available, you'll need to ensure that your program is up-to-date and current. Let's get started!

Step 1 – Download update

  • To import special destination information directly into your multi-media interface, you will need to press the Menu button, and then select "Setup MMI" followed by "System Update."
  • Press the Menu button once more, and then select "Settings," followed by the left control button, and "System Maintenance."
  • Insert an SD card with the update on it into one of the MMI's SD card slots (there are two). Select the one you've chosen. And select "Confirm Update."
  • Once the system is done importing the data, click "OK."

Step 2 – Configure your account name

The account name you use in Audi Connect should be the same as the one you use in Google Maps. This will let Audi Connect know you are the same user. The Google Map Search function will automatically communication previously (and newly) stored destinations to your vehicle, so they are linked for use while you drive your Audi.

Pro Tip

If you experience any difficulty, consider inputting a destination manually. One way to do this is to add the online destination as a contact in your directory, and then to use the GPS entry to complete the process. Select the address with the flag beside it. This should all be done on your multi-media interface.

Step 3 – Select your destination

Select your next destination from your vehicle using Audi Connect. The system now has your destination information.

Pro Tip

If you're using Google Maps in Lite mode, you won't be able to send a place to your car. To check to see if you're in Lite mode, click the menu icon on the Google Maps app. If you're in Lite mode, you'll see a message say "You're in Lite mode" and a box on the bottom left with a lighting bolt.
