Materials Needed

  • Jack
  • Jack stands

Step 1 – Raise car

The jack goes right behind the front wheel if you're jacking up the front, or right in front of the rear wheel if you're jacking up the rear. You should see a little mark along the rail. Place the jack under the point, then start raising the car. Raise the vehicle enough to be able to fit a jack stand underneath it.

Step 2 – Secure with jack stand

Right next to the jack point, you should see a ball-like piece of metal, this is designed for it to rest on the jack stand. Place the jack stand under it, then very slowly and gently lower the car onto the jack stand. If you want to raise both sides of the rear, jack up one side, rest it on the jack stand, then jack up the other side, and rest it on the other jack stand.
