Audi A4 B8: How to Reset the Oil Service Light

Your Audi A4 tends to remind you when it's time for an oil change, but if you don't need the reminder, here's how you can reset this light.

Sometimes, you just don't want to see the oil service light in your Audi A4. Most Audi owners take their cars to a dealership or repair shop to clear any warning lights, but it's not ideal, especially if you complete your own oil changes at home. This guide will show you how you can reset this light on your own, without having to leave your driveway.

Materials Needed

  • None

Step 1 – Access service interval display

Press the "CAR" or the function selector button, then go to the "service interval display" on your screen and select it.

Step 2 – Select "reset"

Navigate to "Reset Oil Change," then select it. This will reset the oil service light. Resetting the oil change light will reset it for 10,000 miles or a year from the date you reset it. Be sure to keep that time frame in mind as you reset the light so you kno when your car needs an oil change next.
