1. Upgrade the Intake

The OEM airbox isn’t ideal for optimal air flow; neither is the filter element. An aftermarket air intake works by relocating the intake inlet to a position where it’s better able to draw cooler fresh air. It also typically features a filter element with greater surface area and an intake tract that is optimized for flow. This all leads to a much sharper throttle response, and a bit more power out of the car’s engine.

2. Add a Blow Off Valve

Most drivers add this valve to hear the sound of their turbo car doing its thing, but there are some performance benefits to adding this valve to your Audi A4 B8. You see, the high-performance components that make up this valve are specially designed to reduce turbo lag and spool, and eliminate boost leaks that are often present in the OEM plastic factory valves.

3. Get a New Set of Wheels

This is perhaps one of the most flexible options when it comes to performance upgrade, due to the sheer volume of available options. Regardless, a new set of wheels will instantly improve the handling of the vehicle, along with its efficiency and stopping power. And this isn’t even getting into how much it improves upon the overall look of the car, too.

4. Upgrade the Suspension

There are three types to choose from – springs and shocks, coilovers, and air ride. Depending on your budget, you can go with any one of them, but what it ultimately comes down to is what kind of driver you are. All three of these options address the specific driving preferences of different Audi A4 B8 drivers, and it’s worth taking a closer look prior to buying one just because it had a good review. Do you take corners tightly? Are you a faster than the normal driver? What’s your braking style like? The answer to these questions will help you figure out the right system for you, and once installed, will give you a greater feel for the power that the A4 B8 has to offer.

5. Replace the OEM Exhaust with an Aftermarket Model

Going this route is a bit expensive up front, but will wind up saving you a ton of money in the long run. That’s because a lot of these aftermarket exhaust systems are designed to be more efficient than the original systems installed in the cars on the factory lines. They also allow the car to get more out of its engine, so the driver ends up being exposed to even more power.
