Why not new?

I’ll be frank, I’ve never had the desire to purchase a new car. There are just too many perks to picking up a used ride, like a stable market value, off the lot cash purchase and ability to buy something that’s been proven to be reliable. According to Forbes, Audi offers some of the most stable resale values for luxury makes, which means not only can you pick up a used car at a good price, you can be expected to sell it back in a couple years for the same approximate value.

2013 Audi A4

The A4 has been continually chosen as the fan favorite, simply for its balanced ride that manages to satisfy both performance and luxury enthusiasts alike. Multiple engines were available, with the 2.0l turbocharged variation, that pumped out 211 horsepower, is the most popular. A supercharged 333hp option was available as well and could be paired with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission. Inside the cabin had all the features you’d expect, with power seats, full leather interior and MMI infotainment system. You can expect to pick one of these up for $10,000 to $13,000.

Perhaps crossovers or smaller SUVs are your taste? The 2013 Audi Q5 has all the essentials of a sport utility vehicle and then some. Featuring options between either a 2.0l or 3.0l engine, it can produce up to 272 horsepower. Audi’s quattro 4WD is standard, making climbs on steep hills a breeze. However, one of the more praised aspects of this car was its gas mileage, where drivers reached up to 30mpg on the highway. Inside, space is adequate with seating up to five. The tech has also aged well for itself including featuring HD radio, Bluetooth, blind-spot monitoring an MMI infotainment system. A Q5 can be picked up starting at approximately $13,900.

2013 Audi A3

As if perfectly made for those active singles or smaller families, the A3 has always been a prime example of compact luxury. Audi's 2013 model utilized the extremely versatile MQB platform that allowed for a variety of different models to be produced, with the Sportback variation winning top favor among most drivers.

Here, you were able to choose between a five-door and three-door variation, of which featured multiple engine options including a turbodiesel setup that gave up some high-end power for some torque. Handling, like any small Audi Sportback, is superb. It was available in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive variations. Inside you’ll find some nice quality leatherwork, with an adequate amount of leg room for the rear seats. The small efficient design is excellent for city commuting, and rear storage offers enough space for any small family. These cars range from $11,000 to $13,000.
