The Commander - 2016
Superbowl ads don't get much better than this. While most hard-hitting ads go for comedy, this Audi commercial pulls at the heartstrings of anyone who watches it, car enthusiast or not. With gorgeous cinematography, the commercial garners intrigue by showing a retired astronaut, whose life has become uninspired without the rush of space travel. That all changes when his son shows up with an Audi R8 V10 Plus. Do yourself a favor and watch it!
The King - 2001
This German ad shows a depiction of Elvis Presley driving on the open road, enjoying his music playing on the stereo, and watching a dancing doll of himself bounce around as he shifts gears. It's not long before his car breaks down, though, and a passer-by picks up the hitchhiking Elvis in an Audi. When The King places the doll on the Audi's dashboard to watch it dance, he's surprised to see it's barely moving. That's because of Audi's smooth-shifting Multitronic transmission technology.
100 Years of Audi - 2013
In celebration of 100 years of excellence, Audi created a truly inspiring commercial in 2013. The ad shows the history of the brand and all of its accomplishments over the years, both in production cars and in motor racing. It highlights that all that the company has achieved has been because they dared to do what others thought to be impossible.
Keychain - 2006
Few automotive ads get the point across as concisely and as visually expressive as this 2006 Audi commercial. It's simply hanging keychains from Alfa Romeo, Volvo, BMW, and Mercedes side by side, listing areas of strength for each brand. And when the keychain rings create the Audi logo, the point is driven home that Audi vehicles can do everything better.
The Chase - 2009
Famous for his role in the Transporter series of films, which prominently feature Audi cars centerstage, Jason Statham is no stranger to the German make. This commercial takes us through the decades, showing vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Lexus being spectacularly destroyed in true Statham fashion, as he's being chased by bad guys. That's until he lands in the 2010s and meets the Supercharges Audi A6, at which point he's able to make a successful getaway.
