6 Brands You Test Drove Before You Bought an Audi

1. BMW

The BMW has always been a luxurious brand, and it has also been competing with Audi. Knowing that Audi is a competitor, they both try to create cars that will always entertain the audience. Forum members, in a recent thread, specified that they test drove BMW models like the 3 Series, X1 and X3 before buying the Audi A4.

2. Mercedes-Benz

Ah, yet another of Audi's competition. If you were looking for the best of the best, Mercedes-Benz had to be on your list. Yet, even with sports performance and its forward-thinking style combined, everyone knows Audi is much more, especially in the tech area. Some forum members tried the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (specifically the 300) and GLA, but still ended up with an A4.

3. Lexus

These luxury brands need to stick together, right? Take reliability, as well as speed, with luxury and this is automatically added to your maybe list. Still, maybe the technology wasn't persuading you. Forum members looked at the IS and RC but turned away due to the dated technology that the brand employed.

4. Infiniti

The Q50 might be coming to mind here as the cross between luxury and sport that Audi drivers want. Since its introduction in 2013, Infiniti has bled the Q50's design to more of its vehicles. Still, while one forum member found it unpleasant to drive, another enjoyed the ride but wasn't a fan of the infotainment system, the color choices or the high price.

5. Acura

Acura was created (by Honda) for the purpose of delivering luxury cars to the U.S. market and it became popular due to its performance and looks. A common model test driven by forum members is the TLX, but, like a common theme, the tech just wasn't working for them.

6. Audi

Yes, Audi shouldn't be on the list, but many people all agree that Audi had always been their first choice. These forum members all bought an A4, but one forum member, before deciding, test drove the Q3 and Q5. The Q5, specifically, is known as the most affordable luxury vehicles, due to its little-needed maintenance, and overall investment.
