The teaser image in question

This here is the image that Audi released to the public. At first glance, there’s not much to tell here. However, if you look at each vehicle’s daytime running lights, you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect by year’s end.

Get ready for some new Q3s

According to the online snoops, the RS-badged versions of the 2nd-gen Q3 and Q3 Sportback are in the teaser image. But don’t let the silhouette be the only convincing piece of evidence. You’ll note a more aggressively-designed front-end here. Specifically, as it relates to the car’s grille along with larger air intakes.

Anyone want a new RS4?

This model is long overdue for an update. This is especially true when you consider the fact that the rest of its A4 brethren received a mid-cycle update in 2019. Why not the RS4 too?

As long as we’re talking about the RS lineup, might as well consider the RS6 and RS7 models

The RS6 and RS7 are due for a new model soon. And when they come out, they’ll likely bump the S6 and S7 models down to mid-range vehicles. In all likelihood, these two RS models will share a lot of the same mechanical features. And the details are going to be what ultimately differentiates the two cars from one another.

How about an RS Q8?

The RS Q8 has been well-reported on to date as the engineers working on this particular model have been putting time in at the track. Should it be launched this year, the RS Q8 will likely see immediate placement at the top of Audi’s SUV portfolio.

Final question – when? When? When? When?

To introduce one new model is often a big enough deal for these carmakers. But to introduce six within four months is huge. Fortunately, there are some relatively huge car shows coming up. For one, there’s the Frankfurt auto show in September. If that’s too soon for Audi, there’s also the Los Angeles auto show in November. But that would be following standard car announcement strategy, something Audi has been getting away from in recent years in favor of brand-specific events instead. So, we could well see an Audi-hosted event sometime in the fall, whereupon all six are introduced at once. Ultimately, though, no one knows the answer. And Audi will likely keep it that way to continue to nurture interest.
