Wanting More

In stock form, the Audi RS6 Avant is a pretty menacing and formidable ride. After all, we're talking about a station wagon that packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. But for those who just crave more out of their wicked new ride, ABT has the answer in its new RS6-R.

Lucky Few

The ABT RS6-R is limited to just 125 units, each of which features an individually numbered door sill plaque. But those lucky few are getting one heck of a ride, starting with the wicked exterior. There, you'll find a host of new carbon fiber elements that only make the RS6 Avant look even meaner.

More Presence

Those newly developed body parts include a front lip, front grille frame add-on, rear skirt add-on, side skirt attachments, and fender inserts. Out back, a stainless steel ABT exhaust system with four carbon end pipes presents the engine's vocals in a more pleasing manner, too.

Working Together

The RS6-R rolls on a set of lightweight 22-inch ABT High-Performance HR wheels that are manufactured via a flow forming process and are specially developed to work in unison with ABT's suspension upgrades which include new height-adjustable suspension springs and new anti-roll bars.

Interior Upgrades

On the inside, ABT offers a couple of optional upgrades for the RS6's interior, including carbon dashboard covers and seat frame covers, along with the aforementioned door sills and plenty of ABT badges. But otherwise, the inside remains mostly stock. Not that that's a bad thing, because this cabin is a very nice place to be.

Big Increase

But make no mistake - the RS6-R isn't just an appearance package with some suspension upgrades. It's also packing some serious heat under the hood with a larger turbocharger, upgraded intercooler, the aforementioned custom exhaust, and an ECU tune. The result is a new output of 690 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 99 hp, and 59 lb-ft, respectively.

Standing Out

As far as pricing goes, well, if you have to ask, you probably don't want to know. But for a select few customers who always want a bit more out of their rides, the RS6-R is the perfect solution. It looks awesome, goes like hell, and certainly stands out in a crowd of otherwise boring crossovers that populate our nation's roads these days.
