An Unofficial RS8

We may not have an Audi RS8 yet, but that doesn't mean we can't make one. ABT decided to treat us with an unofficial variant by tuning the Audi S8 sedan. The tuner played around with the twin turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine to produce more power.

New Energy

The S8 comes straight from Audi with a V8 engine that's able to produce 571 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Being part of the S-Series, it offers more than what the A-Series has. ABT managed to perform some wizardry to the engine. It now churns an incredible 700 horsepower and 880 lb-ft of torque. For a car that weighs 4,916 pounds, these are mind-blowing numbers.

More Speed

This street-approved RS8 doesn't boast such specs just for show. Its newly gained energy allows it to get from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. This is 0.4 seconds faster than the S8. If you go for the option that comes with ceramic brakes, ABT will proudly get its top speed to 168 mph from its original 155 mph.

Extras

For those of us with deeper pockets, ABT includes a few extras that you can add to your "RS8". The 21-inch wheels and a carbon fiber spoiler for your trunk lid improve the aesthetic of the car and distinguish it further from the standard model.

Supercar-like Performance

There's always something special about a sedan that can perform like a supercar. 700 horsepower is not a mean feat. And, if you have any doubts, ask anyone that drives a Mercedes-AMG S63s or the BMW M760i. A car that can top out at 168 mph is definitely fun to drive.
