It’s very well-priced, considering everything that is included

There will be several different trim options for the Q7 SUV (more on that later in the slideshow). But we can begin with the two foundational models. First, the Q7 45 TFSI, which is the four-cylinder SUV, will open at $55,795. Meanwhile, the turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, which starts at $61,795. These prices are reflective of competitive SUVs that fall in the same category, but you get a lot more quality product out of this particular model than other vehicles.

The 2020 Q7 packs a punch

So, let’s begin with the Q7’s turbocharged 2.0-liter 45 TFSI, which is capable of turning out 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The aforementioned V-6 upgrade is significantly more powerful at 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. This is a point that should be taken into consideration if you’re going between both models. You can get much more power for just $5k more than the base model.

Nice upgrades to the interior

Rather than go through the difference between every trim, let’s just look at what every 2020 Q7 includes when it comes to the interior. There’s 10.1-inch screen controls infotainment and navigation system in the upper portion of the dash, and below it sits an 8.6-inch unit that is used to control the car’s three-zone climate and comfort functions. Audi's Virtual Cockpit digital instrument is a notable standard feature in all models. In terms of the exterior, 19-inch wheels and newly designed LED headlights and taillights nicely complement the model’s expanded grille.

Now for the bad: Fuel economy for this year’s model has actually gone down

While every car manufacturer likes to brag about each car’s incredible fuel economy, the 2020 Q7’s has actually gone down compared with the old supercharged V-6. You see, the new turbo V-6 is rated at just 18 mpg combined, 17 mpg city, and 21 mpg highway. This is down 2–5 mpg across the board from the 2019 Q7. Worth noting, though: The 2020 Q7's EPA estimates line up with the 2020 Q8's.

What other trims are available and how much do they cost?

As mentioned earlier, there will be several different Q7 trims available. While we’ve already detailed the Q7 45 TFSI and the turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, it’s worth noting that pricing starts at $61,975 for the 55 Quattro Premium model, which is a $1030 increase over the 2019 V-6 model. The better-equipped (and thus better-valued) Premium Plus trim starts at $64,975, while the top-of-the-line Prestige trim level starts at $72,195.
