The versatile urban racer

The German tuning shop from Wettstetten has taken the 296 HP SQ2 and turned things up considerably for the little crossover. Could this new creation from MTM be the invention of the term "hot crossover"?

Whatever you like

MTM has managed to up the power levels by modifying the internals and remapping the ECU in the 4 cylinder 2.0-liter turbo. But MTM knows that not everyone wants almost 500 horsepower under the hood and that is why there are various flavors of parts and tunes for folks to choose from.

Something for any budget

MTM has 3 stages of tuning and is priced accordingly for where ever you may fall in the scheme of things. Those choices are: Stages 3, 2 and 1, with 433 PS (427 hp / 319 kW), 381 PS (376 hp / 280 kW) and 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW), which will set you back €8,499 ($9,521), €4,499 ($5,040) and €1,490 ($1,669).

One should follow the other

Common sense would denote that if you're going to make something faster you should also beef up the stopping power to match it. So as an option there are carbon-ceramic brakes for  €6,999 ($7,840).  Other options are lowering springs for improved handling, a remote-controlled auxiliary heater and other wheel options at 18, 19, and 20 inches.

If you need diversity and power

I don't know if the brass at Audi have taken note of what MTM has created but we feel like this would be the RS SQ2 if one was created.
