Beyond a Paint Job

Nardo Grey has been a popular paint option since its inception, as has Audi's super speedy compact sedan, the RS3. So for 2020, the automaker thought they would combine the two, make it a super limited-edition with just 200 examples, and call it a day. But there are many interesting little tidbits that go far beyond a simple paint job here.

One Simple Change

It's worth noting that the RS3 Nardo Edition cars have the same turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine as the regular RS3, which means they produce 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. But Audi has chosen to remove the speed limiter from this particular ride, which means that it's capable of achieving quite a bit more speed than the regular model.

Much Speed

A full 19 miles-per-hour, in fact. The Audi RS3 Nardo Edition is capable of reaching 174 miles-per-hour, according to Audi, compared to the standard RS3's 155 mph limit. The cost for this privilege and the special paint job is a mere $3,000 more than the standard RS3, with an MSRP of $60,895.

Black Optic

But the paint job and removal of the speed limiter aren't the only differences between a standard RS3 and the Nardo Edition. The latter has a few styling details worth noting, starting with a host of Black Optic trim including the rear lip spoiler, side mirrors, exhaust tips, and badges.

Impressive Looks

The RS3 Nardo Edition also comes standard with Audi's sports exhaust, which is an optional upgrade on the regular RS3. Red brake calipers and a unique set of 19-inch wheels wearing a five-blade design and two colors cap off what is an impressive looking exterior.

Sporty Cabin

There are many standard niceties inside the RS3 Nardo Edition as well, including Audi's 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, RS embroidery, Alcantara knee pads, red stitching, carbon-fiber inlays, and additional red accents on the seat belts and air vents for a sporty look and feel.

Easy Decision

It all adds up to a very nice, very handsome, and quite fast compact luxury sedan. The regular RS3 is already a fantastic car, and the Nardo Grey Edition just takes it a few steps further. It's an easy way to spend a few extra grand, if you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, that is.
