Brand motto

Vorsprung durch Technik” meaning “Advancement through Technology" is what Audi holds itself to when it creates any vehicle. This R8 V10 Plus seems like an extension of that ethos with a far more sinister approach. In this case, this sports car might be living proof of advancement through technology while intimidating everyone around you.

It's the little things

The very simple change of throwing a Satin Black finish on the R8 makes things so much more aggressive. That gets hammered home especially when paired with the custom front splitter, hefty rear wing, and a large diffuser underneath the rear. After those additions to the body, a set of SV10 Deep Concave FS wheels with a carbon fiber finish from Strasse Wheels were installed to finalize the look.

No power mods added

This car deserves to look every part of the performance car that it holds by all means. This is a runner that comes from the factory with the capability to sprint to 60 in just 2.8 seconds. The Audi halo car owes its prowess to three main factors. One is the engine that it shares with its Italian cousin the Lamborghini Huracan. Two, the V10 Plus has a dual-clutch automatic transmission. And lastly, an all-wheel-drive system which helps the R8 fly off the line like its possessed.

Black on black

The black continues on the interior of the car with Alcantara high-grade leather. The seats are upholstered in Nappa fine leather with perforated holes for heating or cooling features.

What's to come

The 2019 edition of the R8 looks to be even more focused than now with a wider front grille with larger air intakes and a redesigned rear under the taillights. The exhaust ends are now wider circular outlets instead of trapezoidal ones of the current model. The new R8 is expected to receive some upgrades feature wise with an upgraded version of the Digital Cockpit and a redesigned steering wheel.

We look forward to not only seeing the new version of the R8 next year but also what it will look like wrapped in black just like this one.
