Diesel Particulate Filter for Audi A3, A4 and A6
The 2.0 TDI engine featured in the Audi A3 and A4 can now be ordered with a diesel particulate filter. The system operates without additives and does not require any particular servicing. It lasts the entire life of the vehicle. This means that Audi is offering customers of the top-selling four-cylinder engine (103 kW/140 bhp) the option of a diesel particulate filter ex works. A diesel particulate filter is already offered for the 3.0 TDI in the A4, A6 and A8 and for the 2.7 TDI in the A6. A DPF preparation has been fitted as standard on all vehicles with these V6 engines since last autumn, meaning that a latest-generation particulate filter can be retrofitted with ease. Audi will continue to extend the range before the end of the year, when the diesel particulate filter will be available for all models and engine versions. Intensive work is also being carried out with regard to retrofit options for older vehicles. |
