STaSIS Engineering Brakes Named Best in Test in Car and Driver Super-Four Challenge
Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn, Michigan (October 10, 2005) STaSIS Engineering designed brakes were named best in test in the Car and Driver 2005 Super-Four Challenge. The STaSIS four wheel brake kit with front brakes utilizing Alcon 4 piston calibers and 13″ vented rotors stopped the 2005 ForcedFed Lotus Elise from 140mph in 525 feet besting second place by 62 feet! This braking helped the ForcedFed Elise place 3rd overall in Car and Driver’s Rear-or-Four-Wheel Drive category. A STaSIS brake kit also set the best mark stopping from 130mph in the 2004 STaSIS Engineering Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Ultrasport bringing the competition’s heaviest car to a stop in 482 feet. This effort powered by Alcon 4 piston calipers and 14″ vented rotors bested the second fastest stop from 130mph by 60 feet!
