In a special meeting today, the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG confirmed the line-up of the company’s future Board of Management. It was confirmed that Rupert Stadler (43) would continue as Chairman of the Board of Management. This ends his acting status in this role. At the same time, Stadler will continue to manage the division Finance and Organisation.

Michael Dick (55) was appointed as the new Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development with immediate effect. Mr Dick began his professional career at AUDI AG in 1977 and has held various senior management positions in the Volkswagen Group. He was most recently Head of Development – Total Vehicle, Chassis, Pre-Production Centre and Project Steering at Audi.

The new Member of the Board of Management for Production is Frank Dreves (54). On 1 February 2007 he succeeds Prof. Dr. Jochem Heizmann, who takes over responsibility for Group Production in the Volkswagen Group. Dreves is currently Plant Manager at Ingolstadt. He has been with Audi since 1982. Over the course of his career with the company, Dreves has also held senior functions for the VW Group. The Supervisory Board thanked Prof. Dr. Heizmann for his six years of successful work at Audi, during which he achieved significant progress in the productivity of Audi’s factories.

Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of VOLKSWAGEN AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG, commented: “With these decisions, which form part of the restructuring of the Volkswagen Group, we have quickly and thoroughly established the management team that will lead Audi into the future. This makes the Audi Board of Management complete again and fully able to function.”

“These management appointments are a sound basis for us to achieve our goal of becoming the most successful premium brand”, said the Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, Rupert Stadler, following the meeting of the Supervisory Board.

Peter Mosch, Chairman of the General Works Council and Member of the Supervisory Board Committee of AUDI AG, welcomed the appointments: “The workforce and members of the Works Council believe that Rupert Stadler is the right man to lead Audi. In December we said that we did not see Mr Stadler as an interim solution, but that he would strengthen the brand in the long term. We take an equally positive view of Michael Dick and Frank Dreves. All three know the company and stand for continuity in the achievement of corporate objectives. We look forward to working with them.”
