· Stadler: “Honor goes to all of our employees”
· Audi also a leader in quality and technology

Ingolstadt/Munich – Audi has once again been named the best brand in the ADAC AutoMarxX image and brand study. Speaking from the Court Church of All Saints at the Munich Residenz where he accepted the prestigious award today, Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, said, “I am very pleased to accept the Yellow Angel again this year – for the third time in a row now. We put one thrilling car after the other onto the road and delight our customers with beautiful design and pioneering technology. This requires a tremendous team effort, which is why this honor goes to all of our employees.”

In Stadler’s view, the past months have shown the strength and orientation that a strong brand offers. “We at Audi have navigated our way through the crisis very successfully and have strengthened our position substantially,” he added.

Audi took one of the top positions in many categories, and bested the competition in the category Image. The onboard computer with efficiency program, which is already available for many Audi A4 and A5 models, was named by the ADAC jury as one of the eight most important innovations of the year. The brand was also among the front-runners in the areas of efficiency and quality.

AutoMarxX is Germany’s most comprehensive gauge of the effectiveness and image of car brands. The study, which is conducted multiple times each year by ADAC, looks at 33 carmakers and assesses them according to the following criteria: brand image, brand strength, customer satisfaction, breakdown statistics, environmental compatibility, safety and product quality. The Ingolstadt carmaker ranked particularly high in the Dekra Report, which was part of the scoring for the first time this year, and also scored top marks in the ADAC Safety Check.
