Oil pressure sending unit
Hello,
I have a '03 A6 Quattro with the 3.0 engine, auto tranny, 118k miles. Recently it has been intermittently displaying a low oil pressure warning on the dash. I am going to start with replacing the oil pressure sending unit, I ordered one and it should be here in a few days. Where exactly is this sending unit located? Is it easy to get to and change? Thank you for your help |
the oil pressure switch is located above the oil cooler where the oil filter goes...its a little trickey to get to...there is a tsb on the oil pressure lights coming on on those engines, more than likely you have a massive oil leak at your adjusters or the oil check valves are bad in your block

the adjusters i am talking about are the cam adjusters, the check valves live under the valley pan under the intake...either job is very involved....
