2001.5 CH apr stage3+ kits?

Anyone know the status of those stage3+ kits for 2001.5 cars?

I also noticed on Audizine that some of the stage3+ kits with the new bosch injectors and software which puts out 334awhp on 93.

Heres a link:

b6 1.8t is not the same as the b5

returnless fuel system... and some other little things IIRC. for some reason, able to achieve more power.

Enclave 05-14-2006 05:24 PM

I already know that.

Returnless fuel system is a disadvantage. The reason that B6 A4s are able to make more power is becuase of slightly larger k03 which also came on the 01.5 engine.

On BT cars however, B6 and B5s should be equal except for the fact that there is no active development on the B5s.

TwentyValveB5+S4 05-14-2006 05:29 PM

what are you talking about?

the K03S was on all '01s, btw. and i didn't say the returnless fuel system was an advantage...

just pointing out that you B6 stage III+ and B5 stage III+ can't be expected to put out the same numbers, for some reason. maybe APR will prove me wrong, but it has yet to happen.

Enclave 05-14-2006 06:18 PM

I'm saying that B5s are old and that no serious development has been done on it.

It has nothing to do with the engine. Perhaps the VVT helps a little.

My point is that the B6 is new and therefore companies have more of an incentive to do more R/D on it.

APR inhouse car is a B6 and therefore can be worked on for weeks on end, while B5s are customer cars which can not afford to leave their cars at APR.

i seeeeeeeeee. sad, but true. custom tune is the way to go it seems.

your car looks exactly like mine...clutch/FW questions inside

I just wanted to get your impressions of the clutch and flywheel. I don't forsee really going with a BT kit, so I guess power capacity isn't really of concern. How's the engagement on the clutch? I really wanted to pick up a LWFW when my clutch goes...hows the driveablility of the UR wheel? How much does it weigh? Overall, would you do it again?

TwentyValveB5+S4 05-14-2006 07:25 PM

i've got the same clutch/FW setup (but with HD pp, not SS) and I

love it. would do the unorthodox LWFW again in a heartbeat. chatter was a bit to deal with during break-in, but now it's not even audible unless the AC's on, radio's off, and windows are down.

really makes rev-matching fun and easy!

Enclave 05-14-2006 08:15 PM

Even with the SS, the clutch is very stock like.

Enclave 05-14-2006 08:17 PM

Sounds good.

quattro nole (Jeff) 05-15-2006 04:56 AM

Did you hear that from them? It seems strange that they would

have it on their website for sale without the software. They claim to have it. Hmmmm. I don't know, I'm just asking. BTW, I noticed you have the Greddy FMIC. How well does it fit?

Silver Streakin' 05-15-2006 07:16 AM

schweet!

BLKPERL 05-15-2006 11:12 AM

OT: How do you like the B&M SS?

Thinking about either a Strat or B&M SS

BJC::wokka wokka 05-15-2006 11:43 AM

I can answer that...

i love mine, still needs a litte more adjusting though. I dont agree with everybody else, i dont think its the "best" mod ever. But it is a great mod, and it does make it feel like your car just woke up from a long sleep. Makes it more fun to drive.

I especially love it when spirited driving, much faster shifting.

With the right adjusting...you wont go wrong with a B&M nor Stratmosphere.

BJC::wokka wokka 05-15-2006 11:48 AM

VVT is the difference.
