Am I maxed out? Help! I need more power!
I got back from the strip an hour ago and have been contemplating ever since. I love my car but I need more power. I have been told that without completely abandoning my current setup, I am at the limit. What do you guys think?
Currently I am running: AWE K04 w/GIAC Neuspeed Borla S4 WWL's ITG Hi flow filter Sachs HD clutch I have been thinking FMIC but most of the guys I know that have gone that direction ended up with slower ET's. Do I need to buy the S4 to be happy? I already have so much invested in this car (E codes, Bilstein/Neuspeed, Euro Tails and sides, cross drilled, Mintex, SSBL, the list never ends...). |
slower ETs with FMIC? i hightly doubt that, that doesnt make any sense at all.
what are S4 wwls? you could get a race program for your K04 or you cuold get the GIAC program for the upgeaded cam shafts
thats what im doing. oh and you could definatly get a exhaust manifold. what are your ET right now? |
well i'm going to suggest the APR kit.
there you go. about another 50 horses on pump fuel vs what you're set up with right now.

From what I understand
the intake charge has a longer path to travel and loses PSI going into the engine. This is from experience with a 1.8T and Buick GN.

theres more lag, but i doubt it would be noticeable, and a lot less power loss due to heak soak.

I spray the intercooler with nitrous before each run anyway
so I don't think heat soak is an issue for the 1/4 mile.
