constant 13's? aftermarket turbo?
 

Hey guys, I must warn you ahead of time, I am new to the european scene, so please do not get very technical when answering this question. I use to be into honda/acura, and no I wasn't a ricer :). I could never put any big wings, million stickers, or such on my car. Couldn't afford it..j/k. Sorry for the digression, but now on to my real question. I plan on getting a 97+ a4 1.8t quattro. I was wondering what would be the best way to get this luxurious machine to constant 13 1/4 miles. I'm guessing a turbo upgrade would be the best choice, but since I am a newbie I'm not sure which ones are the best to get. I have been trying to do searches the past couples days, and couldn't find anything specific. I would prefit it be a "kit" with everything. Thank you for reading this long post, and would appreciate anymore info you could give me.

Also I have read the 1st thing I should change is the exhaust, because it is very restrictive with bigger turbos. Thank you again.

Pull the engine and put in a chevy ls1.

Now with the APR Stage III kit, would I need anything else with the kit, to make sure it is reliable? Also how reliable is this kit for street use? I will rarely be going to the track, I just want a fun car to drive :). I should get a bigger intercooler for this correct? And what brand would you guys suggest? Also I should get an exhaust right away too, and also what names would you suggest for that too. Sorry again for all of my questions, but I want to make sure I do this right, and not go cheap and have a blown engine :(. thanks again inadvance

Can get exhaust from APR. SIII is designed to work with stock IC.

So If I get the Stage III, I can leave the stock intercooler, but I should get the APR exhaust, are there any other good brands for exhaust? So all I would need is the stage III kit, and the exhaust, and I will be able to run it for awhile with it still being reliable? Also how much does it cost to have a turbo installed? Sorry I have never had it done before...thanks again for all your help!

Why not wait for the PES kit to come out. What year is your car.

I don't have the car yet. I will be buying in a few months, but I want to get all the info I can before hand so I don't make a mistake. What is the PES kit? Have any links to it?thanks
