I'm about too install a boost gauge but ...
I want to hook up the line where I'll be able to read the boost that goes to the engine. I mean I want to be able the read the real boost I get to the engine.
Why? Because I think I have a boost leakage somewhere and I want to be sure I have one. So where should I hook up the boost line to the boost gauge to have the most accurate boost reading after all leakages? Is hooking up to the line going the FPR, good? Is it better to tap into the vaccum line in front of the manifold? Thanks a lot for your help! Nadim. |
The front. Here:

if you have a DBW car, that line bends underneath the manifold, not straight to BPV
So you cut it underneath the manifold (between 1st and second pipes) and tap in there, here's a pic of the line in stock form:

That's how I like 'em! :-)

How do you get under the manifold? Is it hard? What line is in front of the manifold?(m)
The line in front i'm referring to is an inch from bottom of the pic.
Did you install the Ed digi gauge? Are they your pics? I have yet to do mine! |
