Boost about right. Did you recode ECU?

Mx-3GSR 03-19-2004 04:42 PM

recode why? came out of a 1.8TQM and thats what I have

AZBBoy 03-19-2004 04:45 PM

you shouldn't have gone cheap, my only advice

Me thinks tis better to have a local tuner who can trouble shoot than to save money and be SOL all alone.

What year is yours and what is the new one from?

Do both ECU part #'s match?

Mx-3GSR 03-19-2004 05:03 PM

ECU codes matched perfect but mine is 97 his 99

Quattroleap 03-19-2004 05:05 PM

Better get a vag by someone dont think the codes are the same.

Mx-3GSR 03-19-2004 05:07 PM

what sort of thing am I looking to change if I can borrow a VAG?

Audi2ptzero 03-19-2004 05:11 PM

Some have posted that the other ndbw ecu's did not work in their 97.

You ought to throttle adapt it using a vag. I had the same thing with an apr chip...

once I throttle adapted it with a vag, it was just fine. I believe that you adapt with block 98.
