Why not read up on the lemon law for your state and decide for yourself...

does the "coolant temp sensor" cover the engine oil temp gauge also?

No. But the oil temps wont' really get that high unless you are driving for a long time, and or

pushing the car pretty hard. In cool temsp and easy driving, the oil won't get much above 212.
