What is rooling the fenders?
|
Oops...rolling the fenders that is....
|
hmmm... not sure.
sorry, couldn't resist. =)
makes the inner fender lip wider as to prevent or eliminate tire rubbing. |
Picture this...your fender lip is like and "L" shape, where the lower
horizontal portion of the "L" can potentially catch the tire, and get pulled down (deforming your fender, which is *no* good). You use a machine to carefully and gently bend the "L" into a narrow "V", buying a little more clearance between the tire and the body panel. The trick is bending the metal, without deforming the vertical part of the "L", and without cracking any paint.
Baseball bats are mentioned from time to time, but you should only use that if you cut your factory springs in order to lower your car. |
Whatever works works....no need to spend more money if it gets the job done.
|
Who here would cut their factory springs to lower their car???
That's a rice trick and most here go the sane route with bilsteins and eibachs or something.
|
Just a little sarcasm....
