Car in shop.....this morning

while driving, I went immediatly into Limp Mode, when the Traingle Warning and the EPC came on at the same time. When I pulled to the shoulder, the Check Engine Light came on. Drove it to the dealer - couldnt go over 60 MAX and dropped it off.

I got a Volvo S60 in the mean while. It pretty much sucks ass.

Any ideas what could be wrong? They called me and said they dont have any word on it yet....

Audragon 12-17-2003 12:03 PM

did you vag it?

I got a code for overboost one time put it in limp mode until I cleared the code. never happened again.

nope it went straight to dealer. If this was on a weekend I would have Vagged it.

I should have Vagged it. DAMN

TROLL 12-17-2003 12:05 PM

have you had all your coilpacks replaced yet?

the senator 12-17-2003 12:10 PM

I had L packs, so I believe I wasnt part of the recall, nor did they have records of problems

plus, it didnt jump at all like the descriptions of the other failures

TROLL 12-17-2003 12:12 PM

i have an '03 like you and didn't get a recall either but had CP failure twice!!

the senator 12-17-2003 12:17 PM

thats good news, at least maybe the prob is identified.

Did you have the same symptoms? Please advise

alipor 12-17-2003 12:23 PM

Lemon.. but really were you still running race gas?

maybe you f-ed up your cat somehow and it is sending it into limp mode.

TROLL 12-17-2003 12:25 PM

once you mentinoed "limp mode" & CEL... it sounds like a CP failure

my car was barely driveable. i'd go up to like 20/30mph and it felt bad. since my dealer was too far, i just had my car towed both times.

btw, if it is a CP failure, INSIST they replace all 4 even if you never received a recall. my stupid dealer only replaced the 1 defective the first time.

the senator 12-17-2003 12:26 PM

not at all, just those two tanks of 100, each about a month apart...

plus I had it in the right programs each time....good thought though. I hadn't considered that one yet. But really, I dont think that was the issue.

I though coilpacks made the car jump near violently....
