Xenon Headlight Flicker Ever Solved?
Did anyone ever have their driver's side xenon headlight flicker problem solved?
I remember reading a post where the ignitor or ballast was to blame. I just had the whole drivers side headlight assembly replaced with no luck. Under breaking, turning, and acceleration I get a bad flicker. I just can't find the thread now. Thanks, -Peter |
Are you sure it's flickering, or could it be vibrating?

It pulsates from on to off.

Yes, the ballast was replaced
Symptoms - flickrs a bit. Then it might just go off entirely, but turning the lights off and back on will get it running again. I had to drive to the dealership with the one light not working to convince them that something was wrong.
My left started to do the same thing but taking a lot longer to fail vs the right one. |
When you turn xenons on, do they perform the aligning procedure?
If not, you need to recode your Cent. Electronics. I had this flicker issue when I was playing around with the coding.

They go through the procedure everytime I turn on the car.

My passenger side vibrates, bugs the heck out of me...
only does it when the car is cold and in gear, as in when I am backing out of the garage at home or work. If this is a known problem, is there a TSB? My dealer plays dumb when I mention it to them.
