I have one on my site, but only for the lower rear...

It's on my A4, but basically teh same as the A6...

I guess I'll just take my page down, since it's so awful...

No way. I used the heck out of yours when I did my suspension install.

I've printed it out myself and shared it with my guys at the garage. Good stuff.

Sweet, thanks guys!

The upper rear is twice as easy.

Remove pinch bolt and replace rear arm. No need to drop bracket/wheel bearing housing as there is plenty of room for the arm bolt to clear. If you are doing the pair, then do the rear first before pulling the assy down to do the front.

Yup, like $13 bucks each.

The last set I got was about $75 for 8mm-22mm metric...

Figure 2-3 times that amount for MAC/SK/Snap-On.

Cheers,

Is it possible to manually hammer out the bolt in lieu of a high quality air hammer? Just being my brokeass self... =)

I noticed that no alignment is necessary after upper control arm replacement. I had both arms, both sides on my '00 A6 Avant done by a local stealership a few years back. One side they covered under warranty. But they charged about $600 for the side not covered. This included a very expensive, 4 wheel alignment. Let me tell you, the reputation as outright theives car dealer service shops have is well deserved. I have horrors stories to tell from Jack Daniel' s Audi in northern NJ. Absolutely incompetent for anything beyond an oil change. And I don't allow then to do that either.
