When will the redesigned 8-series be here? Trying to plan my next car purchase.

There was one here already at the BMW dealer ship in Austin TX

Usually the new Audi models come to the US a year later than their release in Europe. The new design is expected in the 2003 model year in Europe, which means 2004 in the States. I was able to buy my 2001 A8L in the summer of 2000, so I would expect the 2004 US models to be available in summer 2003.

Are we still in Kansas?

Save up your money for winter of 2004 - that is my guess.
 

Should be a great car and I will be lineing up for a new S8, or equivalent, possibly later that year.

A not yet released (not even pictures) Audi at a BMW dealership in USA? :-)

Said to hit the german showrooms this autumn, so I guess mid 2003 sounds right.
 

I don't think they can afford to delay it much in the US since it is replacing the current model. Sales will drop too much.

Sounds like a time for a bet? Winter 2003/4 is my bet. They don't sell enough to worry about.
