Default Probably summer of 2003
Usually the new Audi models come to the US a year later than their release in Europe. The new design is expected in the 2003 model year in Europe, which means 2004 in the States. I was able to buy my 2001 A8L in the summer of 2000, so I would expect the 2004 US models to be available in summer 2003.

Default Save up your money for winter of 2004 - that is my guess.
Should be a great car and I will be lineing up for a new S8, or equivalent, possibly later that year.

Default Said to hit the german showrooms this autumn, so I guess mid 2003 sounds right.
I don't think they can afford to delay it much in the US since it is replacing the current model. Sales will drop too much.
