why is my A/C condenser line blocking my radiator drain plug?
It's smack dab in front of the drain, less than 1/2" away. There's no way I can see to get a screwdriver in there through the
grill opening in the bumper. I had a hard enough time on a lift, with the bumper off. Did the previous owner put the condenser in the wrong spot? https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...0ecc497ddc.jpg A/C line blocking radiator drain plug access |
something's wrong, the condensor should be on the front (closer to the bumper)

It doesn't seem like the condenser could be mislocated; it has very definite, fixed rubber mounting points on the front of the radiator. Weird. I'm accessing the drain plug from the front with the bumper off, with a small pair of pliers around the outside of it to rotate it. Once I have it broken free, then I can use a screwdriver to get into half of one slot, at an angle. There's no way I could do that with the bumper on, through the access grille. (Or I don't have the correct tool.) The pix below show how tight it is.

I plan to pick up the factory transmission fluid for my mechanic to change. How much transmission fluid is normally required for a pan drop and filter change?
