A8 NWB 3.0T

I've tossed around the thought of purchasing a 2015 A8 3.0T for several months. I like the dimensions and look of the NWB. I've surfed the sale sites and was pleasantly surprised to see there's a 'sporty' side of the A8 I wasn't aware of...sport package, sport diff etc. I took notice to this stuff because I had an '11 S4 once upon a time I had fun with on HPDE's for a time here in the northeast. I realize the A8 is no track-star but with the 3.0T, sport package, paddle shifters and SD the auto should be a joy to drive. One A8 I identified is at BMW of Devon, very well equipped with 36k miles on the clock.
Any thoughts on the A8 NWB with the sport package?

I have a '15 A8 with the sport package, but I have the 4.0 engine. The steering is crisper with the sport package, and it also reduces your turning radius in parking situation. 4.0 or 3.0 your looking at some serious classy fun...

I have the 2015 NWB A8 with the 4.0T engine, no Sport package. The only things my car doesn't have are Sport package, Night Vision, and B&O. I'm a huge fan of the short-wheelbase A8 - it's a shame Audi doesn't sell it in the US anymore, outside of the S8. Sport package with the sport differential will be a lot of fun. I didn't even realize you could get the Sport package with the 3.0T engine. If the car checks out Carfax and pre-purchase inspection-wise, I say go for it.

Are there any idiosyncrasies to look for/at before purchasing this model? The 2015 A8 NWB 3.0T identified is optioned out except for the Sports Plus and the Night vision options. I hate to say it is almost is to good to be true this A8 is available as it is almost flawless at 36k miles and the price is right. I have not checked it but will do so within a day or two. I then need to identify a warranty package to go along with it.

Turbos have a good side. They give you cheap and efficient power. There's the bad side... they occasionally self-destruct, whether on a car, or a truck, or a diesel locomotive engine set on the Union Pacific RR.
Audi uses turbo power extensively across their product line since the 80's. Audi recognizes their gains and their shortfalls and for this have hidden warranties on the turbo-motor autos. Good fortune for you and others as well. Satisfying to hear this was rectified for you so you can continue to enjoy this beast. 👍👍

3.0 SC is very solid.... We all know when it comes to turbos on an Audi they have to be changed almost every 90k or 8 to 9 years. After Diesel gate I would cut those numbers in half.

What diesel gate has to do with that ?

Quality of parts used.

Well, my car is a pre-Diesel-gate 2015 model and they failed at 68,800 miles. What does that say?
