Just bought this, is it worth it?

I've been wanting a cheap 4 door version of my car, but a Quattro is even better! Do the '81 and '84 use the same engine? And will the engine from a '86 Coupe GT work in either car?

cool !
Looks nice ! I saw it too, a lot of miles on it but if the guy replaced everything recently, thats still a great deal !

Engines
I think 81-84 is all the same, but may be wrong. The KX will bolt in, though you may have to change some ancilliary bits here and there. Nothing hard though.
Nice purchase. |
My recent e-bay purchase.

Auto, however it's just a parts/beater car for now. Eventually, (2-3 years down the road), it will be transformed into an auto-x car perhaps. Now I have two fun 1981 4k4e's to play with.

Looks good
I saw that car on ebay as well. I wouldnt mind owning an 84 4kq someday, they have that "mean" look to them, as my 84 4k did.
Looks like a nice purchase, your lucky :) Mike |
Re: Larger pic, Thank you!
The bigger the better. Now what I need or should I say want is a pre '85 coupe. Than I will have one of each body style. My wife is making threats on my life, but I still feel like the coolest guy on my block! Man are my priorities out of whack!

If I decide to sell my 84 I'll let you know
