You can't, it's only available on the MIB3 version of MMI (2020+ models).

I think only if you don't have heated steering wheel (as it occupies the configurable button) ... right ?

That's correct (on the B9.5 A and S models) as the heated steering wheel button replaces the * button. The exception is the RS5 steering wheel that gets the RS button, the heated wheel button, and the * button. Not sure why they couldn't have both the * and heated wheel button on the A and S models since it's the same wheel...very strange.

Here is mine with all three buttons...

Just one more “model upsell” that makes the RS more desirable?

Perhaps, although getting a heated steering wheel in the B9 (pre-refresh) on any 3 of the models deleted the * button. Audi makes some odd decisions when it comes to steering wheel content and shapes, depending on what options you select.

I'd take flat bottom over heated everyday.

DCB1951 03-12-2022 07:52 AM

I'll take heated over flat-bottom every day.

That I can just hit the stop button and it switches into P so only one thing to press.

And also automatically apply the parking brake. But not sure if I had to program it.

However, I really hate it doesn't have a dedicated CarPlay button.

Do you mean on the steering wheel, or console or something?
On the MMI, I put a shortcut button for CarPlay on the left side of the screen, so it’s always there.

I'd take heated flat bottom over . . . a Tesla yoke.

As it turned out, a "brick" would be better than a Tesla "Yoke."

Note: You could substitute the would "Joke" in for "Yoke" they are completely interchangeable.

Here is a wheel by (T-Sportline) as a Tesla Yoke replacement, not sure that is any better.
