does any one know of a temp gauge that will monitor two temp sources??
I made brake vents (one vent on one side) and I want to see if it works on the track.

get the stick-on or paint-on temp indicators. pegasusautoracing.com has them

You mean like using 2 temp sensors that are made for fish tanks.

Re: good idea, yeah thats my back up plan.... but I would like a gauge
So can see the temps rise and fall in real time...the stick on kind will only let me see what the temps are after a cool down lap... by that time they should have cooled not a lot. I want to see if my 3 inch tubing is effectively lowering the max temp on my left compared to no vent on the right.

Exactly. The right heat range and all...
There is no point to drilling a probe into the brake caliper. That is why the tape is made.
There are several dual-meter guages out there but everyone I know just uses a rotary switch and you can monitor a lot more systems for a lot less money. |
well, if you want to monitor real time
that then you need to get 2 digital multimeters with thermocouples and with PC interface. I got mine from ebay for $50($80-100 from Sears) including software. i cant remember the max temp it can read but i dont think it can handle caliper temps

Nope. Sticker/paint gives peak temp.

Re: Yeah, like i said that would help but not a gauge would be better

Check out the dual gauges at spatechnique.com
They aren't cheap, but the new versions do offer red illumination to match the interior.
They have lots of different dual gauges available, including a temp/temp gauge.

http://www.spatechnique.com/index3.html</a

|
