NYstgIII 05-04-2004 04:39 PM

one of the techs at my job.....

it was installed properly. i launched the car fri. night at about 4800-5k after that the car was somewhat disabled

Define "disabled"

can only engage gear if start with the car in gear......

and can only shift at low rpm.

xr4tic 05-05-2004 08:44 AM

OK, I had the same problem...

dumped the clutch at 5000 RPM, then couldn't disengage the clutch anymore.

I can shift though, it's easier if you rev match, but I've only got ~20K miles on the synchros in my trans which is probably why mine works better.

Although, after ~150 miles of highway driving, it started working again. I'm still going to take it apart, but I need to do some work to my daily driver first.

Got any pics of the pressure plate?

NYstgIII 05-05-2004 08:52 AM

YGM, enjoy the pics......

i emailed them to spec to see if they can help me out at all. i doubt though. the clutch is not even a year old and breaks after 1st hard launch.

should i go with the LWFW

201-A4 05-05-2004 09:58 AM

I would go with the LWFW...

I was on the fence about getting one but Im glad that I did. The car is very drivable.
