Suspension height
I have a 1999.5 A4 1.8tqm with an MTM stage II setup.
If I want a 1-1.5 inch drop from sport, which springs will get me there (currently its a non-sport)? I would love to see a link to some sort of a comparison if one exists. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to listen. I've already done a bunch of searches but my eyes are starting to hurt and I'm still a little unsure. Also, the car is a daily driver and it will never see the track, so ride quality is an issue, thanks in advance. FYI, incase anyone is curious, I am thinking of using Koni shocks and have already purchased a set of used A8 wheels and new SO3's. I'm aware of the fact that the A8 wheels may look a little "sucked-in" given the width and offset difference, but I'll give it a try and if it looks funny to me I'll put on some spacers after the fact. Thanks again, you guys are great |
Try Koni coilovers
Adjustable coilovers can give you the exact ride height you desire. Just a matter of adjusting the spring plates to achieve the desired height. I have Koni coilovers and have spent a great deal of time adjusting to get the desired height and shock dampening. If you are not interested in "playing" with these settings I would stick to a good spring/ shock combo.
BTW, "adjustable" koni shocks have to be removed from the car to be adjusted. Goodluck, Dave |
Since you already have the shocks
You really don't have any options to go that low.
H&R race will go about 1" from sport.. You don't have many options to go lower, other than get Coilovers, or the Neuspeed Bilstein shocks with H&R race. |
