I average 28.5 MPG on my '15 TDI.

as a past owner of a 2.0t and now a TDI, my driving habits have not changed. The only data that can change here is that I never towed with the 2.0t but do with the TDI. And my towing mileage with the TDI is better than my combined average with the 2.0t

The data speaks for itself. Had a 3.2 also and that average was like 19mpg combined with a best of around 26-27.

This last tank I got 16.9 but that was mostly SF City Traffic.

But I usually get 18-20 with Combo sf and bay area highway traffic

3.0T here. Last tank this morning was 22.3 (calculated, not MMI). I hit a low this winter of 20.2 when it was below zero for ~3 straight days. I've gotten full tank best MPG of 28 on a mostly highway, no A/C week last fall, but that's a rarity.

Generally I see 21.5-23.

Our 3.0T averages 16-17 mpg. Mostly short tripping though, which kills MPG as the engine constantly runs below optimal operating temp.
