Ordering a Q5 price question

I have seen a couple of posts from people who have ordered Q5s. Could I ask - on average how much under MSRP do you get on your deal?

I think it depends on what city and state the dealer is located. I saw from another forum that someone got a lease from a dealer in NJ for an invoice price! I myself am still working on a deal here in CA to lease a Q5, initial offer was around 1700 off MSRP. Have not done any negotiation yet.

Anything from $1-2.5K off depending on how bad they think you want it or how bad they need to get rid of it.

I was wondering more about Q5s people have actually ordered (and waited like 3 months to get). Surely the dealers don't expect you to pay MSRP for a vehicle that is sold when it comes on their lot.

I am in Canada so maybe things are different here...there are no Q5's on any lots in my city, so the demand is very very high. I paid the price it says on the internet when you "build and price" your audi. I tried to deal and they wouldn't budge. They did throw in the audi care for $750. That's the best I could do in Calgary.

I ordered mine December 1 and still don't have it.

Not many on the lots here in Denver either. That is why I was thinking about ordering one.

there are none to be had in uk either, the ex demo and 2nd hand ones are going for more than new.we got 5% off mrp from dealer, ordered 6th feb no build date as of yet.

5% below MSRP is not too bad I suppose. Lets the dealer make what- 4-5% profit?

I just picked up my Q5 after ordering it 5 months ago. Guess thats what happens when you order during the holidays.

Anyways, I went through the Costco auto buying program, got the car for 1000 over invoice which I guess translates to a price 6% under MSRP. No haggling involved, and the process went smoothly.

I've wondered about getting a car through Costco. What is involved with that? Do you just go in and sit down and order the car? Do you think doing it through Costco had an affect on the 5 month delivery as opposed to the 3 months everyone else seems to mentioning on the other threads on this board?
