I have seen a couple of posts from people who have ordered Q5s. Could I ask - on average how much under MSRP do you get on your deal?

I've wondered about getting a car through Costco. What is involved with that? Do you just go in and sit down and order the car? Do you think doing it through Costco had an affect on the 5 month delivery as opposed to the 3 months everyone else seems to mentioning on the other threads on this board?

$1,113K over invoice
I paid right about $1,113 over invoice for a 2010 Prestige S-Line. Just to be clear, when I say "invoice," I am not including the destination charge (which I am paying) or any other dealer charges like marketing allocation (which I am not paying). Here is how my deal worked out:
2010 Audi Q5 Prestige Meteor Gray/Black S-Line Floor Mats/Trunk Liner Tow Hitch MSRP Invoice Q5 Base $37,350 $34,735 Prestige Package $11,500 $10,696 S-Line Package $2,150 $2,000 Premium Paint $475 $443 Floor Mats/Trunk Liner $240 $223 Tow Hitch $850 $790 $52,565 $48,887 My Price: $50,000 Destination: $825 Tax/License (approx): $5,627 Total (approx): $56,452 |
I haven't recieved mine yet however I should be driving it next week. I am getting mine for $500 over invoice, free audi care, and Audi is making the first payment (which will be aroung $1000.00). I negotiated this deal when I put the order in which was Dec 6 2009.
I just spoke to my sales person here in southern California and he said that he is sold out of Q5s and that Audi is spread thin on getting cars to the dealers. |

Sherman's Audi, That sounds like a very good deal. You're right about Q5 is scarce here in SoCal. I talked to one dealer here that won't budge for anything below the price he offered me, which is $1000 over invoice. Did you have to put a lot of effort to get that deal you got back in December? |

In my case it was a smaller Audi dealership outside of my city that participated. We would have had the car sooner, but made a change to the order the day after it was accepted by audi - meaning we had to resubmit the order again, which was the reason for the delay along with the re submittal happening in November, right before the holidays (the factory workers take a fair amount of time off in December for XMAS). The salesperson will go over your options selected, and the pricing for each. In terms of pricing the web site will show you the invoice pricing, and the dealer will tack on a small amount to that. In my case it was 1000 over invoice. All options are discounted as are any accessories you may want. No haggling. No pressuring. Costco's fairly strict on those 2 items. |
