Should only be a 1/10 mph change from 255/40 -21 to 265/40 -21 if I recall.

Yes. Using the 265/40 -21s. Slight change in speedometer, but not a problem. And no other issues. Fitment is fine. And, mine is lowered 1.5".

Love the Atturos! Looks great with a 10mm spacer. They handle great! I've gone through two sets already about to go to my 3rd. I buy them online and have a local shop install. $630 installed

Ha. I am in the exact same boat and researching right now.
So far I can only even find two worthwhile options. None in the stock 255/40R21 size. (The bane of the SQ5 21" setup...tire options.)
Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season Plus - Size: 265/40R21 $218 (Unlimited Time / 50,000 Miles treadlife warranty)
Continental CrossContact LX Sport - Size: 265/40R21 $320 (No treadlife warranty) (Technically a Touring tire)

Almost makes the Pirelli a no-brainer if I didn't have such a bad taste in my mouth from previous Pirellis.

I just bought the Zero All Season Plus tires in 265/40R21 for my Q5...very close fit but no rubbing. Apparently these tires are a fairly new design from Pirelli, but have good initial ratings from TireRack. And only $220 to boot (compared to the more expensive Verdes in 255/40R21 OE size with no treadlife warranty and worse ratings).

I used to hate Pirellis, but I previously had a good experience with the Verde All Season+ so hoping these will hold up well.

OK. Same here I gave in and I am trying Pirelli again. I have the Zero All Season Plus 265/40R21 coming Friday for my SQ5 glad to hear they fit without issue. The OE size (non-Plus) was like $120 more per tire. I guess understandable as it has PNCS but just not worth it to me. Fingers crossed that the Scorpion doesn't bite me. :p

Glad 265/40R21 fits without issues when I get the Pilot sport 4S

Not really a surprise, but another success with fitting the Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season Plus 265/40R21.
As gronk pointed out, not much more room for clearance, but no rubbing, And no way they would rub. Tire looks perfect on the rim IMHO. Bulge is not an issue, I actually prefer a little rim protection.
Initial impression, smooth, quiet, comfortable. All good so far.

gk1 - Is it just me, or does it look like your suspension has a huge crack near your finger in the first picture??

Ha. It does look that way, but, no, it is just the split where the control arm end goes and the bolt clamps it. It was just a weird angle so the flash makes it look funny.
You can see the split I'm talking about for the other control arm (far right) in the other pic below that one.

Also ended up with the Atturos, though they weren't the easiest things to get. Discount Tire listed as a dealer on the Atturo website but none of my local stores could get them. Finally bought from tires-easy.com ($580 shipped) and had them mounted and balanced for $100 locally.

Still getting used to the handling, feedback seems a little vague so far...

John
