In a 0-60 mph sprint, the cars are a second or less apart. My original point, which I probably didn't state clearly enough, was that in the real world things are not like on the test track. For instance, people don't typically spin their wheels & drop the clutch at a stoplight. So quattro and the flawless shifting of S-Tronic - can make a difference.

A second or less apart in a 0-60mph race is a huge difference. And the distance should be many many car lengths if it is a second difference. Simply said the Ferrari driver either like you said was really really crappy and missed a shift or he didn't realize you were racing him until he saw you on his a$$ then he punched it.

Agreed - what I've been trying to say all along! On the other hand, because I have quattro & S-Tronic, I'll typically have a good start & won't miss a shift - which in real world conditions makes up somewhat for the relative lack of hp, torque, and # of cylnders. Regardless, it doesn't matter after I hit 65 mph. No matter how bad their launch and shift from 1st to 2nd, when they shift into 3rd - I'm toast!

P.S. A moment of silence after my 400th post, please... ;)
