Shuffling on jukebox and SD CARD max size
Anyone know how to shuffle artist folders in the jukebox without shuffling (mix) everything on the jukebox?
Also I have a 16 gig sd card, does anyone know if the 32 gig cards work? Thanks |
Reportedly 32gig cards will work, but there is a limit on how many files the system can handle. Based on what I read it's 4000 files.

Any idea on how to shuffle tracks within a folder. Seems to shuffle the entire source |
I have a 32GB card and I'm sad to report that it does shuffle the whole card. Really wish it would limit itself to the folder its in... oh well..
On the plus side the audio sounds much better using the SD cards =) |
Can anyone confirm if it is 4000 files?? I think it is far less...

I've got 3067 on my 32GB at the moment, and that works fine. If the limit is less than 4k it's not "far less". |
I recall someone mentioning that 3200 or so was the soft limit from their tests.
in terms of shuffling a folder, click on repeat and select the folder option. BUT, you can't shuffle across folders sadly. meaning, if you have artist > albums > songs, you can shuffle the songs in one album, but you can't shuffle all albums and songs from an artist. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... |
per the manual there is a 4000 file limit on SD cards.
(and from my own experience, I can confirm that is true) |

What file formats can it play? FLAC, MP3, AAC, WMA, etc? |

(and from my own experience, I can confirm that is true) The only issue I've had is that some tracks get skipped, but this happened at well below 4000 tracks. It seemed to be more prevalent with tracks that I'd downloaded through iTunes rather than imported from a CD. I've found that I can greatly reduce the frequency of skipped songs if I import them to the SD card as .mp3 files rather than the default .aac that I use on my computer. A bit of pain as it's a 2 step process to xfer new songs now, but it seems to work well. |
