EBC slotted rotors totally suck. Hawk HPS pads are very good.

I put a set of EBC slotted and dimpled on my car, and they grab and chatter and make horrid clicking sounds due to the wide slots in them. They are absolutely terrible.

So, I put my stock rotors back on after resurfacing them, and almost instantly the Hawk pads were excellent. They stop much better than OE pads, and after they were bedded, I noticed a huge reduction in fade.

Good to know, I need to put mine in. The Pagid Oranges are driving me nuts.

If you think the street squeal is bad, try a cold stop in the winter! Exciting!

What is a better alternative in slotted rotors?

Innovator 05-15-2003 07:39 AM

You don't need slotted or drilled rotors with the new pad technology.

That is the word from several pad companies.

I can only imagine...I won't be running the Pagids in December...except for VIR.

If you want a Much Better pad and rotor then your pior setup get.....

Zimmermann solid or drilled rotors and get Remsa Gold pads ( these are the same brand that AudiSport uses) i have this set up and it rocks.

You could always get DBA Rotors...
