Default EBC slotted rotors totally suck. Hawk HPS pads are very good.

I put a set of EBC slotted and dimpled on my car, and they grab and chatter and make horrid clicking sounds due to the wide slots in them. They are absolutely terrible.

So, I put my stock rotors back on after resurfacing them, and almost instantly the Hawk pads were excellent. They stop much better than OE pads, and after they were bedded, I noticed a huge reduction in fade.

If you think the street squeal is bad, try a cold stop in the winter! Exciting!

Default You don't need slotted or drilled rotors with the new pad technology.

That is the word from several pad companies.
